LeBron James, Lakers overwhelm fans by shutting down Stephen Curry in win vs. Warriors
The Los Angeles Lakers' fortunes are beginning to improve.
After blowing away the Boston Celtics on Thursday, the Lakers shut down Stephen Curry in a Saturday night road win over the Golden State Warriors.
Anthony Davis led the squad with 36 points and 13 rebounds, while LeBron James contributed 25 points and 12 assists in the Lakers' 118-108 win.

Curry was limited to 13 points and did not make a single basket in the second half. Through the last two quarters of the Warriors' defeat, he shot 0-for-8 from the floor and 0-for-4 from deep.
The Lakers improve to 25-18, with a 9-12 road record and their third consecutive victory.
Following consecutive victories against the Washington Wizards, the defending NBA champions, and the Warriors, some supporters believe the Lakers are on course for a good second half after an up-and-down start to the season.
Jarred Vanderbilt's first Lakers appearance in over a year was the highlight of Saturday night's victory.
Vanderbilt last played for the Lakers on February 1, 2024, and has since had offseason surgeries on both feet.
Vanderbilt's return following an arduous recuperation procedure sparked the Lakers' defense, which shut out Curry and the Warriors in the fourth quarter.
Los Angeles is embarking on a six-game road trip, with the next stop being the Charlotte Hornets on Monday. A winning record over this time might help James, Davis, and the Lakers establish themselves as a top-five team in the West.
The Warriors, however, have lost three of their past four games and would be eliminated from the playoffs if the season ended today. Curry and his squad will try to get back on track for the postseason on Tuesday at home against the Utah Jazz.
